- Peter and Polly are two beautiful and mischievious African Silver Grey Parrots whom I had the great pleasure of spending part of my life with. These loveable little rouges now live with a friend of mine, spending their days very happily in a very large garden avairy, still very much loved. I painted this work in 1989 and have only now decided to offer the work for sale to any interested party. To the work itself, I wanted to portray these beauties for posterity. I decided to create what was a typical scene within the house. Slightly altering things by draping some towels, adding some fruit, and creating a couple of magazines to highlight some environmental issues which I feel we should all care about. I have always loved this painting, I feel that as a topical talking point it works very well and draws the viewer in. The work is acrylic on board, is varnished and is ready to frame.
