- This work is based on a series of sketches and observations that I have made through time. I set out here to capture not only the landscape but to create a feeling of welcome to the onlooker, using not a dramatic or majestic view, but a simple scene, lush with vegetation and life. And yet the centre of this outlook is dominated by shrubs and trees which have been ravaged by time and the elements. This painting has hung on my own wall for some time and I now feel that the time is right to place the work for sale here. The work is acrylic on board, is varnished and is ready to hang.
